How much does a wedding film cost?

the price of a film you keep for a lifetime Documentary wedding films · Angers · in English · France & abroad

A wedding videographer's price, explained honestly

Lucile filming at a wedding, camera on her shoulder

Our collections start at €4,000 incl. VAT. Most couples who trust us with their wedding invest between €5,000 and €7,000, depending on what they want to keep from their day. The quote is tailored after a first meeting, by video call or over a coffee in Angers, with no commitment.

That price covers two things you only see afterwards: the time spent getting to know you before the wedding, and around twenty days of work after it, to build your film.

This page says everything we can say about a price before we have met you: what is included in every collection, what makes it vary, how payment works, and why we cost more than the average videographer. The exact amount is something we decide with you.

What makes
the price vary

Five things shape the quote. A sixth, which people often expect, does not.

Viewpoints

Two videographers, or one. We film as a pair: Lucile with the bride, Kylian with the groom, the ceremony from two angles at the same time. Nothing happens behind your back. If we are both already booked on another wedding on your date, we can send a trusted videographer from our network: that is the one-videographer collection. In the edit, it is always the two of us.

Hours

How long we are with you. From getting ready to the end of the evening, or a shorter day. The more hours, the more there is to tell.

The interview

A filmed session before the wedding. You open up, we listen. Your words become the backbone of the film, and we arrive on the day as close friends. It is not included in every collection, but we strongly recommend it.

The cinema

A screening on the big screen. A cinema, your loved ones, the lights going down. The most complete collection ends there. “16:08”, Pauline and Balsa's film, was first seen this way at the Pathé cinema in Angers.

Travel

Travel costs, at cost. Included within twenty kilometres of Angers. Beyond that, added to the quote with no margin. Past an hour and a half's drive, a night on site after the wedding, at cost as well. The same terms apply across France and abroad.

Does not change

The length of the film. It depends on your day and your story, between 6 and 13 minutes. Never on your budget.

Four collections,
one progression

Each collection adds something to the one before: a second viewpoint, then the interview session, then the cinema. The amounts appear on the quote we write after meeting you, because no two weddings are alike.

Wedding

The essential, with one videographer. For dates when we are both already booked on another wedding: a trusted videographer from our network films your day, and the two of us edit your film, like every other.

Memory

Two ways of seeing. There are two of us throughout the day, alongside each of you.

Story

Your story begins before the big day. Two ways of seeing, and a filmed session before the wedding to tell more.

Cinema

All the way to the big screen. The most complete collection, up to the screening of your film in a cinema.

● The real question

Why do we cost more than the average?

French wedding directories list average prices of €1,000 to €2,500 for a videographer, depending on the region. We are well above that. It is no accident, and we would rather explain it than leave you to guess.

Around twenty days of work per film. That is the time we take after every wedding, and we always edit as a pair. Time to choose music that sounds like you, rather than a trending track you will hear in ten other films this year. Time to choose every image with care, because one image too many weakens all the others.

A film shaped by who you are, not a template. We have sat on international wedding film juries, and we have seen many videographers apply the same template to every couple: the same structure, the same rhythm, only the speeches and the images change. We would rather start from who you are. That is why we meet you, why we learn your story, and why we film an interview with you before the big day.

The film of a lifetime. Not a reel posted on social media and forgotten two weeks later. The film you will watch in twenty years, the one you will pass on to your children, the trace you will leave of that day. A little like a wedding ring you will wear all your life: you do not choose it for the lowest price, you choose it to last.

Fifteen weddings a year. No more, so that every film gets that time. It is also why our prices do not drop out of season: a wedding in November takes the same editing as a wedding in June.

A real example,
film included

Poster of the film “Together, always.”, Justine and Alfred's wedding at the Château du Parc Saint-Lambert Justine & Alfred “Together, always.” · 10 min 10 Château du Parc Saint-Lambert · 25 May 2024 · In French

Justine and Alfred were married on 25 May 2024 at the Château du Parc Saint-Lambert. That evening, the party had danced to Lebanese music: Alfred was born in Lebanon, where he grew up until the age of thirteen. So our first versions of the film followed that music.

Yet something bothered us: while preparing the wedding, neither of them had ever mentioned Lebanon to us. After a month of hesitation, we called them. The Lebanese music was a surprise from their guests, slipped to the DJ; they had wanted a French-style wedding. We rewrote the entire soundtrack of the film.

That is the time included in the price: to doubt, to check with you, and to start again when it is needed, so that the film still looks like you in twenty years.

How payment
works

Three payments, all set out in the contract we sign together. They can be spread out; the one rule is that the film is delivered once the balance is paid.

On booking

30% to secure the date. On signing the contract, after our meeting and the quote. Your date is then reserved for you alone.

One month before

30% at the preparation meeting. The moment we go over the running order of the day together, your loved ones, the moments you are looking forward to.

After the wedding

40% balance. Paid after the day and before your film is delivered.

Your questions about price,
our answers

How much does a wedding film with 1 Angle 2 Vue cost?

Our collections start at €4,000 incl. VAT. Most couples who trust us with their wedding invest between €5,000 and €7,000, depending on the number of videographers, the hours of presence, the interview session and the cinema screening. The exact quote is written with you after a first meeting, with no commitment.

Why does a wedding film cost more than a standard wedding video?

Because a documentary film takes around twenty days of work after the wedding: choosing music that sounds like you, choosing every image with care, building a story true to your personalities rather than applying a template. It is the film of a lifetime, the one you will pass on, not a video forgotten two weeks later.

Can we see an example of a film before booking?

Yes. Part of our work is already online, each film with its own page, and we are adding the others month by month. For example “Together, always.”, Justine and Alfred's wedding at the Château du Parc Saint-Lambert: after a month of hesitation in the edit, we called them and rewrote the entire soundtrack so that it matched what they really wanted. Or “16:08”, Pauline and Balsa's wedding, first seen on the big screen at the Pathé cinema in Angers.

What exactly is included in the price?

Always: a real meeting before any commitment, your story learnt before the big day, the voices kept (speeches, vows, laughter, atmosphere), natural colour grading, a bespoke documentary film of 6 to 13 minutes edited by both of us, and your own wedding page on our website.

Is the film longer if we choose a higher collection?

No. The length of the film depends on your day and your story, between 6 and 13 minutes, never on your budget. From one collection to the next, what changes is what is included: two videographers or one on the wedding day, more hours of presence, the interview session before the wedding, the screening of your film in a cinema. In the edit, it is always the two of us.

How does payment work?

30% on signing the contract to secure the date, 30% one month before the wedding, 40% after the wedding. These payments can be spread out, and we arrange it together. One rule: the balance is paid before the film is delivered. Everything is set out in black and white in the contract.

Is the price lower out of season or on a weekday?

No. A wedding in November or on a Tuesday takes exactly the same editing work as a Saturday in June, and that work is what makes up most of the price. Our prices are the same all year round.

Are travel costs included?

Within twenty kilometres of Angers, yes. Beyond that, travel is added to the quote at cost, with no margin. Beyond an hour and a half's drive, we book accommodation on site for the night of the wedding, also at cost. We film across France and abroad, on the same terms.

When do we receive our film?

Between six and nine months after the wedding. That is the time it takes to select the footage, edit, work on the sound and grade the colours. Your film comes with your own wedding page to share with your loved ones.
