Wedding videographers in the châteaux of the Loire Valley.

We were born here. Lucile comes from Savennières, among the vineyards above the Loire, where her whole family still lives. Kylian grew up in Montjean-sur-Loire, twenty kilometres downstream, before making his life in Angers. To us, the châteaux of the Loire are not a postcard backdrop: they are the roads of our childhood, a light we know by heart.

This is where we founded 1 Angle 2 Vue in 2020, to film weddings as documentaries: nothing to act out, the voices and speeches kept, a story built in the edit from what really happened. On the day, there are two of us, Lucile with the bride, Kylian with the groom. If we are both already booked on another wedding on your date, we can send a trusted videographer from our network; in the edit, it is always the two of us. And we strongly recommend a filmed interview session before the wedding, so that we arrive on the day already knowing your story.

If you are getting married in a château or an estate between Angers, Saumur, Tours and Nantes, there is a good chance we already know your venue: we have filmed or scouted 20 of them in the valley, and gathered them further down this page, with what we know about each one.

We only tell about fifteen weddings a year, in French and in English, in Anjou first, then across France and abroad. We both work in English, from the first call to the wedding day. Our collections start at €4,000 incl. VAT. How much a wedding film with us costs →

Our films
in the Loire Valley

Six films shot in the valley: châteaux in Anjou, an estate on the Loir, a village in Touraine. Each one has its own page, with its story and the suppliers of the day. One of them, “It's Only You”, is entirely in English.

The châteaux and estates
we know

We have filmed or scouted each of these venues. For each one, what we remember as videographers; for capacity, prices and availability, their own website is the reference.

Along the Loire

Abbaye royale de Fontevraud

Fontevraud-l'Abbaye

The resting place of the Plantagenets, where Eleanor of Aquitaine and Richard the Lionheart lie, and one of the largest monastic complexes in Europe. It can be booked in its entirety for a wedding. A ceremony in the shadow of the abbey church gives images no other venue can offer.

Le Fief des Cordeliers

Montjean-sur-Loire

A 15th-century manor, once home to abbesses, restored above the Loire in three hectares of grounds, twenty minutes from Angers, in the village where Kylian grew up. It belongs to the same house as the Nouvelle Grange de la Chevalerie.

Château d'Arts

Saint-Saturnin-sur-Loire

Perched on the Mont Rude, with a sweeping view over the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A château run by an artists' association, ten minutes from Brissac.

Le Petit Serrant

Saint-Georges-sur-Loire

A 19th-century manor house turned guest house and restaurant, next door to the great Château de Serrant, one of the landmark châteaux of the Anjou Loire.

Domaine des Lys

Ancenis

Between Angers and Nantes, an eighty-hectare wooded estate with its own rooms: your guests sleep on site and the celebration can last all weekend.

Les Hautes Roches

Rochecorbon, near Tours

In Touraine, facing the Loire, a Relais & Châteaux troglodyte hotel carved into the tufa stone of Vouvray. The historic heart of the Loire châteaux.

Around Angers

Château du Parc Saint-Lambert

Saint-Lambert-la-Potherie

A 19th-century château in twenty hectares of wooded parkland, with its orangery. We have made two films here, “16:08” and “Together, always.”: we know every path.

Château du Plessis Chivré

Étriché

A family château north of Angers, where we filmed “Friends Before Lovers”. A venue on a human scale, for a wedding that looks like the couple.

Domaine de Bré

Seiches-sur-le-Loir

Guest rooms and receptions on the banks of the Loir, the Loire's smaller namesake. Ben and Émy's wedding, “Aperol Spritz”, was filmed here: Émy had worked at the estate and knew every corner of it.

Château du Plessis-Macé

Longuenée-en-Anjou

A 15th-century fortress fifteen minutes from Angers, with its moats and inner courtyard. In the same village, the Nouvelle Grange de la Chevalerie hosts large banquets of up to three hundred guests, with accommodation on site.

Château Allure du Lac

Grez-Neuville

A 19th-century château on a private lake, with an island for ceremonies. Many couples from abroad marry here over several days: a venue where speaking English is part of the job.

Château de Noirieux

Briollay

A 15th to 17th-century estate where the Sarthe and the Loir meet, with its chapel, its orangery and four-star hotel rooms.

Château de la Perrière

Avrillé

On the edge of Angers, a château and its chapel in the middle of the Avrillé golf course. Couple portraits on the greens in the evening have a light you will not find anywhere else.

Orangerie de Maulny

Cantenay-Épinard

A historic orangery in nine hectares of parkland, with a boxwood garden and a bandstand for the vows. Symbolic ceremonies are superb here in the late afternoon.

M&S Châtillon

Cantenay-Épinard

Eight hectares of private parkland on the edge of Angers, designed for large weddings: up to four hundred seated guests, and rooms on site.

Domaine de la Rousselière

Morannes-sur-Sarthe

A countryside setting on the banks of the Sarthe, for weddings that prefer gardens to reception rooms.

Towards Segré, the Mauges and Saumur

Château de la Lorie

Segré-en-Anjou Bleu

A 17th-century château and its grounds, where we filmed “It's Only You”, Serge and Cesca's wedding, entirely in English.

Château de la Brûlaire

Gesté, Beaupréau-en-Mauges

A 19th-century château between Nantes and the Loire Valley: drawing rooms, an orangery, French and English gardens, and rooms for your family.

Domaine Les 3 Rivages

La Chaussaire, Montrevault-sur-Èvre

Eight hectares of greenery around a lake, a reception hall overlooking the water and a ceremony possible under the trees, thirty minutes from Nantes and Cholet.

Domaine des Lochereaux

Louerre, in the Saumur area

Deep in the woods, a large timber hall run by the same family for four generations, with the château as a backdrop.

● Where we dream of filming

The Château de Challain-la-Potherie, the “little Chambord of Anjou”, neo-Gothic, set in thirty hectares of parkland. We met its owners recently. If you are getting married there, tell us.

How a wedding film
with us unfolds

It all starts with a meeting, by video call or over a coffee in Angers, before any commitment. Then we learn your story: your family, your loved ones, the running order of the day, the moments you are looking forward to. A filmed interview session a few weeks before the wedding, which we strongly recommend, lets us arrive on the day as close friends, not as suppliers.

On the wedding day, there are two of us, discreet and available. We never ask you to act anything out. Then the two of us build the film: images, speeches, sounds and emotions woven into a story of 6 to 13 minutes, delivered six to nine months later, with your own wedding page to share. Some couples discover their film at the cinema, surrounded by those who were there.

Your questions,
our answers

Do you cover the whole Loire Valley?

Yes. We are based in Angers and we film throughout Anjou, Touraine, the Saumur area and as far as Nantes. Within twenty kilometres of Angers, travel is included. Beyond that, it is added to the quote at cost, with no margin.

What if our château is more than an hour and a half from Angers?

Beyond an hour and a half's drive, we book accommodation on site for the night of the wedding. It is added to the quote at cost. This applies to part of Touraine and to weddings outside the region.

Do you work in English?

Yes, both of us: the first call, the interview session and the wedding day itself can all take place in English. “It's Only You”, Serge and Cesca's film at the Château de la Lorie, is entirely in English.

Why two videographers at a château wedding?

Because a château wedding happens in several places at once: the bride getting ready in one room, the groom and the guests in the grounds, the details of the venue seen from the sky. Lucile stays with the bride, Kylian with the groom, and the ceremony is filmed from two angles at the same time.

When do we receive our film?

Between six and nine months after the wedding. That is the time a true story requires: selecting the footage, editing, sound work, colour grading. The film runs 6 to 13 minutes depending on your day, and comes with your own wedding page to share with your loved ones.

What budget should we plan for a wedding film in a Loire Valley château?

Our collections start at €4,000 incl. VAT, and most couples invest between €5,000 and €7,000. The quote depends on your day and on what you wish for: one or two videographers, extended presence, an interview session before the wedding, a cinema screening of your film. We write it with you after a first meeting, by video call or over a coffee in Angers.
