« You are the most beautiful soul I know. Thank you for caring about my family as if it were your own. »
Heard in the film
Pauline had been following our work on social media for a long time. Balsa didn’t know us yet; Kylian, however, knew him: a professional ice hockey player, he had often watched him on the ice in Angers. From the very first meeting, everything was simple.
Their story is like no other. When illness struck Pauline’s family, one thing became obvious: her mother had to see her in a wedding dress. Balsa proposed during a photo session, and the wedding came together in four months, up to that Wednesday, 24 July 2024, at Château du Parc Saint-Lambert.
They weren’t convinced by the idea of a session before the big day. They trusted us, and we suggested a family session instead, at Pauline’s parents’ home. That is where the film found its true nature, a family film as much as a wedding film: the family they are building with their children, Aby and Joy, and the families that have surrounded them since forever.
From that day, we keep the image of a happiness without a single false note, and a detail that says everything about them: they got matching tattoos on the day itself. A year later, we did the same for our own wedding.
« 16:08 » is the time they said yes. It is also a first: the first of our films to be discovered in a cinema, at the Pathé in Angers, with the whole family and all their friends gathered in the dark. A year on, Pauline and Balsa told us: « Photos are frozen. Video is alive. One doesn’t go without the other. »
Our angle
When illness runs through a life, a wedding gathers and brings people closer. We told the story of their union in the face of a painful moment.
We accompany fifteen stories a year, in France and around the world. We work in English.
